My practice aims to transform medical trauma into radical visibility. As a neurodivergent, disabled artist living with endometriosis and invisible disability, I create work that refuses to be polite about pain - work that disrupts the clinical gaze and centers the voices medicine ignores. These pieces emerge from years of navigating a system that pathologises, dismisses, and harms. They're maps of violence, archives of resilience, and blueprints for a different future.
Here you can find my artwork for sale, each touching upon different topics and often deeply personal [though not always]. I frequently upcycle old canvases and incorporate recycled materials into my creations, giving them a unique, sometimes imperfect & messy feel. Some of these pieces have travelled to galleries and been part of various exhibitions, others have lived in my studios for months. They're all equally loved and cherished - and, in many ways, also tell the stories of my [dis]abled being, surviving & sometimes even thriving.Working within the constraints of chronic illness and neurodivergence means my practice operates differently. I have an assistant who helps with packaging and shipping once a week. This means your work will be sent with care, but may take longer than commercial timelines.
Due to my neurodivergence and disabilities, I'm sometimes unable to maintain an up-to-date shop with detailed descriptions for all my artworks. However, I'm always happy to share the stories and inspiration behind each piece. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to learn more about any specific artwork - studio@hystera.online.
All works are original unless otherwise noted. Commissions available.
